Night time terrors are very completely different from nightmares and these are widespread amongst youngsters aged between three and eight.
Night time terrors are characterised by screaming, trashing and never recognising these comforting them, they usually happen on waking abruptly from deep, non-dream sleep.
Nightmares, alternatively, happen from dream sleep (REM sleep).
Youngsters and adults have nightmares and might usually bear in mind them once they get up, in contrast to evening terrors.
