LA CROSSE, (WKBT) — Volunteers are getting some contemporary air to assist folks in want.
Aptiv employees and different group members helped plant greens Friday at Aptiv, which helps folks dwelling with disabilities.
They planted lettuce, potatoes, onions and carrots for Aptiv’s Hope Grows Backyard.
Leaders say the backyard offers those that is likely to be struggling a possibility for them to get their very own contemporary produce.
“It’s actually necessary that we get wholesome meals to folks,” stated Cindy Taerud, Aptiv’s advertising and communications coordinator. “And this can be a approach that we are able to do this. And get contemporary produce to folks locally that in any other case may not have a possibility.”
Town began these gardens again in 2020.
