PITTSBURG, Ks. — The Pittsburg Farmers Market is in search of distributors for the upcoming season.
The Pittsburg Parks and Recreation Division is particularly in search of distributors who can present fruits, greens, baked items, hen and meals vans.
Officers say the Farmers Market averages round 400 guests every Saturday.
“We’re getting contemporary native produce and merchandise from the realm to individuals who want it,” stated Farmers Market Supervisor Josie Smith. “One other program now we have is SNAP on website, so individuals who have SNAP playing cards can swipe them and we will truly double them. That method, they’ll get much more contemporary produce.”
The market might be open Saturdays from 8 AM to midday beginning April 16 and ending October 29 and Wednesdays from 4 PM to six PM starting June 8 and working by August 10.
