One other week has handed by since my final column. We made it to Kentucky and Tennessee for each weddings and are actually again in Michigan. We had been grateful for protected travels to and from the weddings. Dan’s (who died within the accident with son-in-law Mose) spouse Jodi was our driver and she or he did an exquisite job. It couldn’t have been straightforward driving for all of us. She is a pleasant particular person to have round. I do know she remains to be hurting identical to daughter Susan, each lacking their family members. It at all times makes me unhappy after I see Susan and her kids drive in with out her beloved Mose beside her. Seeing sister Emma with out Jacob and sister Verena with out sister Susan appears so unreal. It may get overwhelming and that’s the reason we have to let go and let God. We have to belief his plans are completely different than what we would like generally.
At Michael and Laura’s wedding ceremony I used to be a cook dinner and my job was to arrange the contemporary fruit for the fruit bowls. It was a great mixture of strawberries, blueberries, grapes and kiwi. The menu consisted of fried hen, mashed potatoes, gravy, buttered noodles, dressing, blended greens, broccoli/cauliflower salad, bread, butter and jam, a number of sorts of pies, angel meals cake, blended fruit and pudding.
Within the afternoon we began out on the 4 1/2-hour drive to Tennessee. We stayed at a motel and attended the marriage on the church for Jamin and Saloma. Their weddings are completely different than ours as the daddy walks the bride down the aisle. The couple left after the marriage for his or her several-week honeymoon. We want each {couples} God’s blessings as they begin their lives collectively as one.
The menu for this wedding ceremony was boneless hen breasts and barbecued hen, diced pink potatoes, coleslaw, dinner rolls, ice cream, doughnuts, lemonade and low.
We had supper with Saloma’s mother and father Pete and Carol (Joe’s sister) together with a few of Joe’s household and others who had attended the marriage. We then headed again to the motel. The kids loved swimming on the pool. The subsequent day we drove towards house about 5 1/2 hours then slept in a motel outdoors of Indianapolis. The subsequent day we spent the day on the Indianapolis zoo. We had somewhat over three hours to drive house.
We had a pleasant time however everybody was glad to be house once more.
Son Kevin turned 16 on Sept. 2 whereas we had been gone. Monday night time we had cake and ice cream in honor of his birthday. Additionally on the menu had been banana poppers and Italian potatoes and sausage.
We had some storms undergo our space once more however we didn’t get something a lot. Hopefully nobody else did both. Daughter Susan and kids and daughter Verena got here for the night time.
As we speak Joe’s sisters and nieces will come assist us clear. Plans are to scrub the basement and may room, and if we get that far, our breezeway.
Saturday we have now extra assist coming. Church companies had been set to be right here Sept. 19. That isn’t far off after which the marriage of daughter Loretta and Dustin is arising proper after that.
God bless all of you as we journey into the unknown future.
